You are a short drive from the honeypot village of Hawkshead, the home of Beatrix Potter, and very close to Cartmel and the coast at Grange-over-Sands. You can enjoy the many shops, restaurants and activities on and around the lake and, of course, the fells and low level walks are second to none.

"We have just returned from another great weekend in the South Lakes. Once again we had the pleasure of staying at the garden suite. The suite itself is enough to make you want to come back; however as well as this there is the friendly service of Pam and Geoff who always go the extra mile to ensure your stay is a great one. We arrived on Friday afternoon straight from work and were greeted with afternoon tea. A fresh pot of tea and a selection of delicious sandwiches and cakes - just what we needed after the journey (or a day spent walking around the lakes). Geoff and Pam even towed our car out of a field it was stuck in. What more do you want!"
